How to
Flip an image in three steps.
- 1Choose your images, or drop them on the box.
- 2Pick Horizontal (mirror), Vertical or Both.
- 3Download each image, or Download all as a ZIP.
When to flip
Mirror, flip or rotate?
- Mirror (horizontal) fixes selfies that come out reversed, so text on a T-shirt or sign reads the right way.
- Vertical turns a picture upside down as if reflected in water.
- Both gives the same result as turning the picture 180°. To turn by 90°, use rotate image.
- JPG files are saved as JPG (quality 92), WebP as WebP, and everything else as lossless PNG.
FAQ
Questions people ask first.
- How do I flip an image?
- Open it in the tool above, choose Horizontal, Vertical or Both, and download it.
- How do I mirror a selfie?
- Choose Horizontal. Left and right swap, so writing in the photo reads normally again.
- What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
- Flipping makes a mirror image; rotating turns the picture without mirroring it. Flipping both ways equals a 180° rotation.
- Does flipping reduce quality?
- PNG files are saved losslessly. JPG files are saved again at quality 92, which looks the same.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to Daniotech or anyone else.
