Which colour code to use.

Colour code formats
FormatExampleUse it for
HEX#39FF14CSS, design tools, brand guides
RGBrgb(57, 255, 20)CSS, code, Office apps
HSLhsl(111, 100%, 54%)CSS when you want lighter or darker shades of the same hue

Photos have noise, so neighbouring pixels differ slightly. For a brand colour, pick from a flat area of a logo or screenshot rather than a photo. The main colours are found with a median cut over the whole image.
